In many jurisdictions, if there is a defect in the goods, the buyer may be entitled to a discount or reduction in the purchase price. This is often referred to as a "price reduction" or "price diminution." The amount of the discount will depend on the nature and severity of the defect, and may be determined through negotiation between the buyer and seller, or through legal proceedings if necessary.
